Jim was born in Elizabeth NJ in 1974 and was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, attending parochial school all his life. It was while he was at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire in 1993 that he came to repent of his sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. God graciously sent to Jim a good friend who was already a believer in Jesus Christ, who God used to tell Jim about the Gospel. God then worked by his Spirit to regenerate Jim’s, making him able to believe the Good News of Jesus Christ. It was not too long after that, after a couple of years attending a Baptist Church, that God led him to a Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Nashua New Hampshire through the encouragement of another friend in Christ. It was there that Reformed and Expositional Preaching gripped his heart, and he knew he wanted to be a preacher of God’s Word. In 1997 he began to study for the gospel minister at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia. It was during this time that he met Eve Pappas who would later, in 1999, become his wife. After graduating from seminary in 2002, Jim and Eve moved to Johnstown where he accepted a call to be the pastor of Westminster Church. He was ordained and installed as pastor in November of that year. Since then, Jim and Eve have been blessed with two wonderful covenant children, Caitlyn Rose and Ian James. |
